Truman
Harry Truman was the President of the United States of America when the WAVES law was put in place on June 24, 1942. He also agreed to drop the atomic bombs on Japan to end the war and further American bloodshed (The Manhattan Project). Additionally he created the Truman Doctrine; which stated that the U.S. would support Greece and Turkey with economic and military
aid to prevent them from falling into the Soviet sphere
